World Meetei Convention, 2020 was held at Lamargram, Cachar, Assam on March 4th & 5th, 2020.

Manipur Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren Singh opened the inaugural function of the convention. The convention was aimed bringing all-round development of the Meetei community and to promote unity and integrity among us. The convention was attended by around 3000 delegates from different parts of India and Myanmar (Burma).

The first day of the Plenary Session was held at Banga Bhawan, Silchar and the second day Lamargram, and the meeting resolved to organize a convention in 2020. An organizing committee was formed in this regard that had successfully onrganized World Meetei Convention 2020 at Lamargram.

The Plenary Session was sponsored by Assam Manipuri Progressive Front.
